Polymer solutions to install the rail onto a concrete slab (RAIL JOINTS - RAIL FASTENING)

Direct fastening onto concrete slab by bonding for tramway

Flowable mortar epoxy-polyurethane bi component
solvent free
Hardness: 50 shore D (V FIX 50 D)
Test for load of 11 tons per axle acc. to EN 13 481-5

Direct fastening with anchor bolts (Tramway)

Fixing of the rail down to the concrete is achieved through metallic baseplate fastened with two anchor bolts M22 inserted 90 mm depth in slab by chemical anchoring.

Baseplates are located every 750mm linear of rail for a conventional tramway load of 11 tons per axle and the recommended relevant thickness of resin V FIX is between 20 and 65mm.

Direct fastening by bonding (Tramway)

Where the use of anchor bolts is forbidden, the bonding of the metal baseplate onto concrete structure using the resin V FIX 50 D may be a solution.

This solution is subject careful surface preparation. The interval is reduced to 600mm to decrease the vertical stress and the maximum thickness of resin V FIX 50 D is limited to 50mm.

Fixing of the rail by means of metallic base plates to the concrete slab for the following applications:

• Track fixation onto concrete bridge slab
• Reinforcement of track fixation for maintenance operations
• Decreasing of dead load and height reduction of the railway infrastructure
• Electrical insulation of track
